How Cigars are made 1. Tobacco is
grown in plantations around the world, under strictly controlled conditions. 2. The tobacco leaves are harvested, then hung and dried to cure by
air. 3. The leaves are now packed into bales, then undergo a quality control
process. 4. The tobacco leaves are sorted into three basic classifications:
the binder, wrapper and fillers. 5. To create a cigar, the “filler” tobacco is now tightly
wrapped in the binder leaves, and left in a mould to create the shape. 6. These moulds are positioned in a cigar press overnight. 7. Tobacco is now rolled by hand into the cigar.
8. The cigar is left in a special climate-controlled aging room to
enhance flavour and preserve the tobacco.
